Isaac Lateiku Essel #139

Next Step
Isaac Lateiku came with his mother and his two siblings to the Accra railways (the streets of Accra) because it became impossible for them to survive on their own in their hometown in the Centra Region of Ghana. Sadly Isaac’s father denied his responsibility to care for his family, and abandoned them. Life was not any easier for the family in Accra. Isaac would run errands for people on the street so that they would give him scraps of food, since his mother could not provide for him.
Due to the financial difficulties of his mother, Isaac did not have any formal education until he met ECM Street Ministry workers. The ECM staff were sharing food and preaching the word of God to children one Sunday afternoon. Isaac was interviewed and the mother was called and asked if ECM could take Isaac and give him a formal education, which would give him hope for a better future. The mother agreed and Isaac was brought to the Home in 2002 through the Department of Social Welfare where he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Isaac was four years old when he came to Haven of Hope.
Isaac was placed in Haven of Hope Academy and completed Haven of Hope elementary school and then attended a nearby high school. He graduated high school last year, and is currently at Accra Technical University in his first year studying Electrical Engineering. He would like to work as an electrician someday. He is still facing financial challenges and struggles to pay his university fees along with monthly upkeep, school supplies, handouts, and accommodation (renting a dorm). He currently has two sponsors but needs two more in order to fully cover his tuition and education needs until he finishes. Could you prayerfully consider supporting him for the next couple years?
