Rebecca lives with her mother and two sisters in the Kamwokya slums. Unfortunately, the father abandoned the family and the mother sells tea to try to make a living for her daughters. Sometimes the girls help her sell tea. Rebecca’s mother loves her daughters, but she doesn’t make enough money to send them to school. Rebecca was in Primary 1 (1st grade) but had to drop out because they couldn’t pay school fees. Some days they even go without a proper meal. They are a born again Christian family and involved in a local church. Rebecca really needs the support of a loving sponsor to give her hope for a brighter future.
