Rouster Legacy Circle – Planned Giving

Leaving a Legacy…

I don’t want to leave a legacy, I don’t care if they remember me, only Jesus
And I’ve only got one life to live, I’ll let every second point to him, only Jesus

from the song Only Jesus, by Casting Crowns

One of our greatest aspirations in life is to leave a mark – to make a difference. Yet, as followers of Christ, we know that it is not we who need to be remembered for the difference we make, but Jesus. It is his name we proclaim, and his name which will live on. No doubt there are issues that face our community and our world that you feel passionate about… spiritual growth, leadership development, health, education, orphan care. Through your care and commitment, you can help ensure that Every Child Ministries has a secure future, and that its programs and services to African children and their families continue. Through the John and Lorella Rouster Legacy Circle, you will be a Kingdom builder, and your contribution will be respected and recognized for years to come. But it’s not your legacy that will live on through the work of ECM, it is not you who will be remembered, but only Jesus. That truth is at the heart of ECM’s Legacy Circle, and it drives us to passionately give to make sure that those we minister to remember his name, not ours.

John and Lorella Rouster, founders of Every Child Ministries, have given their lives’ work to offering hope, practical help, and dignity to African children in the name of Jesus, and it is their deepest desire to see this work continue. Since 1985 they have worked tirelessly and unselfishly to make sure that vulnerable children and their caregivers are not forgotten. Like the Rousters, each of us is called to play a part in ensuring a brighter future for these kids. To help make this possible, ECM has established the John and Lorella Rouster Legacy Circle for planned giving.

The John and Lorella Rouster Legacy Circle is a group pledged to ensure that the Rouster’s dream continues for future generations. This is a special group that has included a gift for Every Child Ministries to benefit their long range planning. Planned gifts include bequests in wills or living trusts; life income plans such as gift annuities, charitable trusts; beneficiary designations of retirement plans, brokerage accounts, and life insurance policies; and any gifts, including cash, designated for the ECM Endowment Fund. ECM’s Endowment Fund is held by the Porter County Community Foundation. Use this link to give directly to PCCF for the benefit of ECM’s Endowment Fund. Be sure to designate Every Child Ministries in the drop down menu where it asks for “Your Preferred Fund.”

Designating Your Gift

ECM appreciates receiving information from John and Lorella Rouster Legacy Circle members regarding the specific purpose of any planned gift. This allows ECM to review your gift language to ensure that your philanthropic intention for the general purposes, service, or program areas you wish to benefit can be implemented.

Becoming a Member

If you have provided for Every Child Ministries in a planned gift but have not yet informed us, please contact us to inform us of your decision. Soon after, you will receive a letter welcoming you into the Circle. If you are interested in becoming a member, or would like more information, please fill out the response card and mail it to ECM. We are very grateful to members of the John and Lorella Rouster Legacy Circle for carrying on a vital tradition of support, and for helping ensure that the timeless name of Jesus is heard by all the children in our programs. Please do not hesitate to contact the ECM office about joining the Circle or to learn more about charitable gift planning.
