Crispus lives in a small rented house with his mother and 5 siblings. His father is a primary school teacher. Crispus’ mother raises a small garden and sometimes sells the produce to help bring in some income to the family. Crispus is a PWA (person with albinism), which makes his situation more difficult. The father is a teacher at a private school, where unfortunately his salary is irregular. The mother tries to sell some produce from the garden to help support the family. His family cannot afford for all of the children to both go to school and be fed. On top of that, Crispus needs items to prevent his eyes and skin from being burned by the sun, such as sun lotion, hats, lip balm, and sunglasses. He also has three siblings with albinism. Could you support Crispus so that he can stay in school and have all his basic needs met?
Jane Alowo lives in a small two room house with her father, two mothers and three siblings (it is a polygamous family). Jane’s father married his late brother’s wife in order to help take care of her family, and polygamy is still common in some areas of Africa. Jane’s three sisters are already in ECM’s child sponsorship program, and Jane would really like to be enrolled too! Her parents do small scale farming and live on part of the produce, and sell the other part. At the time her profile came to us in 2021, Jane was in P5 (5th grade). Unfortunately she has not been able to consistently attend school because the family cannot always afford the school fees. But she has been joining her sisters for Saturday club the last couple years and is a believer in Jesus. Jane now has one sponsor, but needs two in order to be fully covered. Could you pray about being that second supporter for her, so that she can stay in school, be able to go all the way up through secondary school and finish strong?
