PRACTICAL MATTERS (Please read carefully!)

A mission trip in a foreign country is an act of service, not a vacation! The climate may be hot and
uncomfortable. You probably won’t have AC. Roads may be rough. Facilities may be simple. Hotel standards will probably not measure up to what you are used to. Electricity, running water, and Internet may be intermittent. Your favorite choices in food are likely to be unavailable and variety is almost sure to be far less than you are accustomed to. Bugs may get on the food. Cooking is done for the entire group and individual preferences cannot be catered to. Even if you are a fussy eater, you will need to eat whatever is put before you (without complaining!).




MISSIONS

This part of the form is for long term missions only.



Every Child Ministries is a small to medium sized mission board. We ask for a small administrative fee (10%), which is lower than many mission boards. We allow great freedom and flexibility within Biblical bounds. Those can be tremendous advantages. However, they also impose certain restraints. We can’t do all the things a larger mission board, taking a higher percentage for an administrative fee, could do. We can’t sponsor annual retreats or pay for family counseling, for example.
